Bargainairticket is a venture by a few like minded people who started it back in 2015. We’ve come a long way since then and our journey begins from being a start-up targeting the US market to a fully fledged metasearch engine servicing airlines across the globe. The principles around which we have built ourselves are simple: reliability, affordability, and convenience. Our goal is to create an engine that will help you plan all aspects of your travel all at one place. Since its conception in 2015, Bargainairticket was associated with the Travel Saver Guru LLC based in Chicago. However, in early 2019 the company was taken over by the Travel Hunt Group based in India.
In its first year as a start-up, Bargainairticket sold over $2 million worth of tickets to customers in the United States by offering excellent bargains on flights. Our association with the top brands in travel has helped us transform over the years into a global metasearch engine for flights, hotels and car rentals. Currently, our site services over 24 million users a year along with 2 million newsletter subscribers given our lucrative partnership with the global giant Skyscanner and other travel companies. Since our transformation into a worldwide service, we have been focussed on creating a multilingual tool that truly is global in all senses of the term. Our commitment to technology has led us on an endless search to find the cheapest prices for our users be it hotels, flights, or even car rentals. We understand that to make it in the travel industry the most important thing is none other than our customer. Therefore we have aimed for a rich mobile experience where convenience is the norm, where you can search for the best and even better deals, and compare and save on the go. Not only that, we also have a fare alert service put in place so that you can rest assured of your savings while we search and bring to you the best fares possible. That being said, it is our belief that over the years we will be able to create a better and far more convenient way to plan travel, save time and still continue to give away the best deals possible.
We are a self funded organisation with six people in our core team, along with a number of freelance engineers, data scientists, business developers and content and research engineers working from remote locations and even from their homes. This company is a venture by a team of travel lovers who enjoy getting discounted deals online much like anyone else, so much so that they began building this organisation from scratch to ensure that other travellers very much like themselves are able to save more and travel with ease.
Bargainairticket is the vision of Lokesh Pant, who started this company with his friends a few years ago. His aim is to deliver quality and not only that, but to create a global metasearch engine that will take care of all your travel needs in one place. Lokesh has been around the travel industry for a while now and it is this valuable experience that he brings to the table. His vision, which he calls ‘futuristic‘, has helped the company grow from servicing only US markets to a fully fledged global entity that now aims at making worldwide travel easier in a more general sense. Lokesh has tried other businesses since he graduated and it is his understanding that he has learned valuable lessons through failure: “I invested in learning but failed in business. I am happy I spent those years learning and I am positive Bargainairticket will pay off for all those years of learning.” His idea of success is based on learning through working hard, and it is his belief that his team members are far more important that any business project. Lokesh is extremely fond of travelling and has been around Thailand, the US, Indonesia, Japan and some parts of Europe. He is also fond of trekking and has been scouring the Himalayas since the last 8-10 years.
Pushkar has been with Bargainairticket since the very beginning. He points out the changes that have occurred within the company since its conception, how it has risen, and as such has great aspirations for what is to come. He has been associated with the travel and tourism industry since the past 8 years before which he has worked with a number of BPOs in Gurugram having done both inbound and outbound sales. Pushkar has graduated from the University of Delhi with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce. Alongside working with Bargainairticket, Pushkar has completed courses in Data Analytics and Google Tag Manager, picking up skills that make him a valuable asset to the company. Pushkar’s philosophy regarding work is that freedom and space to do your own is extremely important to stay motivated and dedicated. Pushkar is also an avid traveller, having been to a number of countries like Singapore and Malaysia, and also having explored India. He enjoys trekking and is extremely passionate about it. His interest in travel is what led him to join Bargainairticket and he states that this industry helped him discover his own passions that were stifled in a monotonous office job.
Neeraj joined Bargainairticket in 2018 and since then he has been working on over all technical aspects and products of Bargainairticket. Neeraj is responsible for developing all technology strategy for Bargainairticket and planning, ongoing technology innovations for the company’s continued success. He has worked with many projects of Ministry of rural development India and National Informatics Centre (NIC). Neeraj has a Masters in Computer Application from Dehradun Institute of Technology and have overall 5+ years of experience, Neeraj brings along significant expertise in product and platform engineering, including architecture, user experience, site operations, product management and product strategy. Neeraj mostly like to travel the mountains and hilly areas. He loves travel to Uttarakhand, Himachal as well as different cities of India.
Abhay has been working with Bargainairticket as a freelance content writer since the winter of 2018. He completed his Bachelor’s in English from Delhi Univerity in 2019 and is now pursuing his Master’s degree in the same. Abhay enjoys reading just about anything, and therefore creating content that allows him to research and read about the world is certainly a win-win.
Vishal has been working with Bargainairticket as a freelance Web Designer. He has a Bachelor’s degree in computer application with 3+ years of experience in Ui and UX Designing.
